Ritika Malik is a digital equity advocate, attending Columbia University, and founder of Digital Access Now.
Ritika didn’t receive her own laptop until college, where she realized how profoundly digital access shapes academic confidence, career pathways, and self-belief.
Determined to turn her lived experience into meaningful change, Ritika founded Digital Access Now to close the digital divide for students who, like her, are full of potential but lack the tools to express it. The initiative focuses on digital literacy workshops, technology confidence training, and accessible education around online safety, AI, and mindful tech use. Through school partnerships and community collaboration, Digital Access Now empowers students to build the digital foundations they need to thrive in classrooms, careers, and daily life.
Beyond her nonprofit work, Ritika is passionate about the intersection of technology, public health, and social equity. She has contributed to research, currently a fellow at Digital Dx Ventures, and curated a TEDX event in 2025.
Ritika is redefining what digital empowerment can look like—one classroom, one student, and one opportunity at a time.
Digital Access Now is a youth-led initiative expanding digital literacy and creating confident, capable learners in an increasingly online world. Through three core programs—Digital Skills Training, Responsible Tech & AI Education, and Access Support—Digital Access Now empowers students to navigate technology with confidence, opens doors to academic and career pathways, and helps families build long-term digital independence.
Whether volunteering, starting a chapter, or donating devices, your support will transform the lives of students and communities by increasing opportunity, boosting digital confidence, and ensuring everyone can participate in a rapidly evolving digital age.
On her social platforms reaching more than 12,000 followers, Ritika shares practical guidance on digital literacy, mindful technology use, and her journey building Digital Access Now. Through workshops, school outreach, and one-on-one mentorship, she supports students and young professionals who are navigating the digital world without access, confidence, or guidance.
Ritika has begun advising early-stage youth initiatives seeking support in community outreach, digital education programming, and impact storytelling—helping organizations strengthen their strategy, build partnerships, and expand their reach. Her advocacy intersects healthcare, technology, and social equity, and she aims to bring a young, community-centered perspective to organizations committed to bridging the digital divide across Philadelphia and beyond.
